Taylor-Swift
Taylor Swift, full Taylor Alison Swift. American singer/songwriter who's had great success with the tales she tells of her young heartbreak. Swift's love for music started at an early stage. From children's plays to performing before thousands, Swift made rapid progress. In 2011, Swift at the age of 11, performed The Star-Spangled Banner during a Philadelphia 76ers' basketball match. In the year following, Swift began writing songs of her own. Swift was inspired by artists in country music such as Shania Twain, the Dixie Chicks and, more recently, the Chicks in order to write original music which reflected the alienation she felt at 13. Swift left Pennsylvania along with her parents in Tennessee to Hendersonville when she was 13 years old to dedicate her time in contacting country labels.
